29/03/08 Golf Training Day

The Golf Croquet Training Day was a great success with 18 people attending. Many thanks to Ros Key-Pugh from Lansdown Club in Bath for teaching and for Pamela Branley for organizing the event.


7/10/07 Opening Celebration at Tor Leisure Centre

On Sunday 7 October we celebrated our move to the Tor Leisure Centre with an open event followed by a cream tea. The weather was perfect and we all had a very enjoyable afternoon. A big thanks to everyone who helped provide such a wonderful feast.


20/09/07 Move to the Tor Leisure Centre

On Thursday 20 September we said a fond farewell to Glastonbury Abbey and moved to the Tor Leisure Centre in Street Road. We have all enjoyed playing in the wonderful surrounding of the Abbey Ruins it will be greatly missed. We will be having a welcoming barbeque at our new site shortly. More details to follow...


13/09/07 General Meeting

On Thursday 13 September there will be a meeting in the Skittle Alley at the Tor Leisure centre for all past, present and future members of the club. The meeting will be an opportunity to discuss the proposed move to the Tor Leisure Centre. For more details contact Jim on 01458 835069


27/07/07 Special General Meeting

At a Special General Meeting on 27 July 2007 the Abbey Croquet Club decided unanimously to move the club to the Tor Leisure Centre in Glastonbury. We are all looking forward to having more space and flatter lawns! More details to follow...

24/08/06 Open Evening

At the August Open Evening we celebrated our first anniversary. The event was a great success with over 30 people attending and many new members joining.

 


29/07/06 Abbey v Nailsea. 6-1

Nailsea, currently at the top of the league, suffered their first defeat of the season at Glastonbury. Malcolm Garrett, pictured above, peeled his partner through three hoops in the doubles match.
